One style concept that I use is broken mirrors. Decor items I loved started getting broken by my friends... (you know who you are lol) and as the cracks began to spread I eventually loved it. The material is dramatic, dilapidated, and completely high fashion to me! Architects such as Zaha Hadid, Bernard Tschumi, and Daniel Libeskind practice this concept of controlled chaos, also known as decontructivism in their works. The pieces I've featured by Mathias Kiss embody this movement effortlessly. I fell in love with every image.
I'm obsessed with the geometry and the way it adds an alternative to traditional luxury in a room. These scary shards add an edgy punk rock addition to any home. Broken mirrors can symbolize so much. An ending...A forced or sudden start. Maybe even change. You decide. #afropunkinspo
