DAILY SOUL...

My Current Tea #Detox: D.R.E

With soo much happening in the world today, a few things have been most consistent for me this year: abrupt change, intense shadow work, and an unquenchable desire to detox every area of my life. Starting with my temple. Yes, you guessed it, I've had some changes at home! lol. But most of all I changed some things about my number one temple, my body. I needed to get right from the inside out!

Now, I believe healthy looks different for everyone. Everyone's body has a unique makeup and needs, the one thing consistent that we all need is water and exercise. Along with yoga, meditation, and jumping rope, I was personally more concerned with making sure that I drank more water. I cooked clean as well. No weird corn oils, extra sodium, or too many starches in my day to day meals. So you gotta figure out what's right for your body boo. I can tell you through trial and error I find that my body has always loved tea.

I love mixing up my own teas and moisturizers in the winter. Simple green tea or sencha is my favorite. It's a great way for me to drink something healthy along with being an easy way to take my special herbs and tinctures throughout the week. Yet, even with drinking hot tea often, I was still feeling tired and bit weighed down after completing projects around my place. I also really needed to improve my focus. Working from home can sometimes feel like you're going in circles all day.

Drinking tea regularly has definitely had it's benefits, but my body needed something stronger to cleanse it of any possible toxins or any lingering food debris making me tired and lethargic. A natural organic way to cleanse your digestion track is by using teas such as Senna or natural blends created specifically for detoxing.

Yearning to get my energy back, digestion became my main focus this year. I really detoxed my gut. Senna causes the stomach muscles to contract and lifts particles from the inner lining of your stomach (which can be a pretty intense process if you make a large container of Senna tea and drink it often throughout the day). Also, Senna is not recommended for pregnant women. I'm not preggers, so I headed over to my favorite health food store Bonne Sante in Hyde Park and stumbled upon my senna, along with a natural detox tea called "Gat Tea".

Gat Tea is a blend of all kinds of natural herbs and seeds such as fennel seeds, and peppermint, and ginger root. I'm not sure if it's safe for pregnant women, but the tea clears out any gas, bloating, and old food in your digestion system. One of their large tea bags makes 1 gallon of tea. I drank this twice a day and I saw a huge difference in my stomach size, my digestion, and my energy. When your body starts talking to you, make sure you listen!

All that to say, 2020 has been a total breaking down of my norms. I've been more attuned to myself and I find myself once again being forced, yet having the opportunity to reconstruct a new plan for my life. In order to evolve I fully embrace all that we've seen this year. I've remained on the observation deck to fully grasp the lessons, isolate the attrition in my own journey, and improve it inside of me, in hopes that my efforts manifest outwardly. Intentionally. I want to further evolve my journey and open my arms of to receive the lessons and abundance that awaits me.

Once again, I. We. We are cracked open to deconstruct the very belief systems we've created out of our own circumstances. Then the challenge. To reconstruct a more inclusive mindful healthy world and continue to evolve into the beauty that our world could be.

Deconstruct, Reconstruct, EvoIve! I kinda missed you, hee hee. Thanks for rocking with me. Peace and Love, pBIII
