I don't know what my grandmother, aunts, or anyone in my family's homes would've been without their old school family photos adorning their walls! I was raised on the blues, gospel, a lil' country, folk, blue grass, Al Green and all day everyday 70's soul and funk! I always loved the album covers, old pictures, and the old Ebony and Essence magazines that my gram collected. They sat along our coffee tables and shelves. So...when I found these vintage 70's flash card images online I Immediately fell in love and wanted to frame them! Unfortunately they were sold *sadface*.
Until I inherit my gram's old photos and things, I keep rotating these Jet magazines and other ol' skool magazines as table accessories around my home. These images have definitely been my main creative style inspiration and they also remind me of all my family stories and photos. They remind me of blackness and all the energy of that time! Can't wait to frame Teddy Pendergrass for my office. Crate dive into your grandmother's stuff and see what you can find! Xo pB
