My good pal Chef Greg Combs is the founder of the Goose and Fox Supper Club. Goose and Fox is a clandestine "supper club" dining experience in Chicago, focusing on seasonal and local produce and artisan products. Thriving as an underground favorite in Chicago, Combsy prepares a private 12 course dining experience of a rustic folk genre.
I teamed up with his crew of creative misfits to cater a market event for the well known Matter Consulting office located in Chicago's Merchandise Mart. Mind you, I have no serving experience, so I was more of a cheer-leading waitress, wide eyed, straight cheesing, and totally stoked to have yet another excuse to go hang with friends and make some Sunday mimosa money!
Arriving on the 12th floor, I was immediately greeted by this awesome industrial neon light. I could feel great design on the horizon! Entering the office, the whole floor smelled like chicken and syrup, Greg was throwing down!
Needless to say, I was tortured giving away these smashing chicken and waffle horderves. Despite a couple dirty old men flirting with me... I was pleasantly stuffed with great design. Here's a few of my favorite commercial product moments below.
I love seeing modern classics in an office. They're like jewelry. These
neutrals add character, and comfort to "serious" spaces.
The celestial broadloom carpet is a win! So inviting, perfectly matched, and provides
depth and volume with the varying grays. This is a unique way to break up the
uniformity you typically see in an office and fill up a large open teaming room.
This carpet seriously had me wanting to grab one of these sick task chairs and swivel
all over the place lol.
Now. These task chairs are the colorful icing on the cake, adding
vibrant modern charm to an overall industrial high-tech space.
Mixing up the chairs is such a visual bonus. Again, it breaks up the
office uniformity and keeps the space fun and inviting.
Matter Chicago. So simple, so modern, so chic. Xo pB
